A large New Zealand Greenstone Toki approximately 18.5cm long, wedge-shaped stone that is bound with black waxed cord. Each stone varies in colour and size as each is unique.Â
The "Toki" is a symbol of courage and strength in time of adversity. The toki (adze) was a chizel tool used by the Maori people of Aotearoa to carve everthing from their great wakas (canoes) to the intricate designs found in their marae (meeting house).
