Made in New Zealand,WHANAU sign wth cut out kowhaiwhai design for the wall, made from MDF lightweight wood, either in a natural wood colour or black.
The Kōwhaiwhai pattern represents the ongoing connectioin between generations. Traditionally used to decorate the rafters of wharenui (meeting houses), honouring ancestors and ensuring their presence is felt through generations to come.
