Product Overview
Jasmine Ruru art print - Fantail with kowhaiwhai background - small print measures 14 x14cm with small white border.
"The piwakawaka (fantail) flits through the ngahere (bush) not just as a bird but as a sacred messenger. In te ao Maori (the Maori world) its sudden appearance is often a sign - a visit from the spirit world, a whisper from those who have passed on.
This painting honours that connection. The glowing yellow background speaks to memory and light, while the kowhaiwhai design behind the bird traces the flow of whakapapa (geneology) guiding the spirit home.
Though small the fantail carries deep meaning : a reminder that love doesn't end with death - it transforms, it lingers, it flies.
He tohu aroha no te ao wairua - A sign of love from the spirit world
