And Justice for All is the fourth studio album by the American heavy metal band Metallica, released on 7 September 1988. It was the band's first full-length studio album to feature bassist Jason Newsted following the death of Cliff Burton in 1986

- The "No Bass" Mix: Producers and engineers have stated that drummer Lars Ulrich and frontman James Hetfield specifically instructed them to turn the bass down until it was barely audible, then drop it a further 3 decibels.
